Eduardo “Chevo” Ortiz: Collector Melon Pot

A rare find for the Mata Ortiz collector. A magnificent “twisted  squash”  (melon) pot by the late great Eduardo “Chevo” Ortiz, He was a master potter and brother to the famous Nicolas Ortiz, and Macario Ortiz.  Eduardo fashioned the best “melon” pots in Mata Ortiz, and this pot is displayed in both “Arte de Mexico” and “The Many Faces of Mata Ortiz.”  Nice polish on this real find.
