Polychrome plate, both carved and painted, with a stand. Nice medium-sized, affordable piece by Lucero Ozuna Silveria, younger sister of Lazaro Azuna. She is obviously influenced by Lazaro’s style, which was influenced by Lazaro’s Uncle, Tavo Silveira. A great example of how technique is passed down in Mata Ortiz.
